Dancing with Fire

She dances wildly
and sings the same
hell hath no power ov'r me
it's licking flames, shan't hold me
nor my body claim...

so it was as she declared
hell needn't hold her
dancing as she dare
her passions was the consuming fire
leaving her nothing , but her bones bare.

WIP Nude in a Wing back Chair

It has been ages since I tried a nude. I was looking through Lempicka's work and trying to get a sense of her cubism planes in both her figure distortion and fabric draping. I was sketching using her "Portrait of Madame M" when the left side of my brain went numb and the right side saw a nude. This is my rough in sketch done in Graphitint pencil.
